Slow Progress

Nothing done in the van today, it was another day of stripping out the caravan and it really was slow going, so many screws to undo, and a lot of them are tight up against things so the electric screwdriver is no good on them.

First think I uncovered was a 4 way gas valve, located under the seat on the right hand side well away from the flap down door and it was in it's own little box. I had never seen the valve before as I have never had cause to go under that side of the seat.

Following round from the bunk on the offside is the unit that house the fridge, cooker, hob and sink. The unit the size it is will not go through the door so will have to be dismantled when the fridge is out, I may get away with leaving the sink and hob in, we will see.
Which to attempt to take out first was the problem, after trying to get the fridge out it was clear that the cooker would have to come out first, and in fact it wasn't too bad, 6 screws hold it in place, screwed into the sides of the unit, then it was just a matter of disconnecting the gas pipe and another maze of wires. One thing the pizzo unit (green box at back on photo) is fastened to the back of the cooker and also feeds the hob so they will have to stay close together.

Dismantling the tv cabinet which extends down to the worktop so has to be moved out of the way first. We never bothered with a tv when away and the microwave went in the cabinet instead.

What a mess, stuff piled everywhere, and it will all have to be moved round again, probably more than once

Somewhere under that pile of stuff is a bed, and somewhere under the bed is the water heater which I need to rescue.

Once this space has been cleared then there will be room for some of the stuff off the bed, then once I get the water heater and top cupboards from over the bed then the stuff from the front can be piled up there and a lot of stuff will fit under the bed, and hopefully it will be a lot tidier than it looks now
